  How To Be Saved?

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13, King James Version.

What does it mean to be saved?  How can I be saved?  These are the most important questions in life.  The answer to these questions determine where you will spend eternity.  The Bible teaches that you must “call” upon the Lord to be saved.  If you want to be saved, you must C.A.L.L.

C -onfront reality.

  1. Reality is that everyone is a sinner.  This includes you.
  2. Reality is that sin is punishable by death, spiritual death, an eternal separation from God.
  3. Reality is that in spite of your sin, God loves you.
  4. Reality is that because of your sin, Jesus died for you.  He took upon Himself the punishment of your sin.
  5. Reality is that Jesus rose from the dead defeating sin and providing victory to you if you have faith and believe.
  6. Reality is that if you do not have faith, if you do not believe, you are still spiritually dead in sin.
  7. Reality is that if you die in that spiritual condition you will spend an eternity in hell separated from the God who loves you.

A - ccept the truth

  1. The truth: Only in God can you find the truth.
  2. The truth: you cannot earn your way into heaven.
  3. The truth: you cannot purchase God’s grace.
  4. The truth: there is only one way of salvation and that is by faith in Jesus Christ.
  5. The truth: if you confess your sin, God will forgive your sin.
  6. The truth: when you confess your sin and God forgives your sin, you are pure in God’s eyes; you are received by Him into His family.

L - isten
